The National Education Knowledge Industry Association (NEKIA) congratulates President Bush on his re-election. The campaign of 2004 is behind us. Now, it is time for the nation to move forward together to solve the urgent problems affecting our communities and their children.

NEKIA and its members believe that many societal problems can be solved by creating excellent schools. As the country moves into the new era of educational reform, the President will be faced with the immense challenge of guiding America's schools to higher levels of excellence and equity. There is little doubt that every American community will look to the President for new and better ways to improve educational opportunities for all children. The best way to do this is to ensure that instructional practices are based on the best available research and evidence. NEKIA and its members look forward to working closely with the leadership of the Bush Administration in the nation's effort to provide research-based solutions to classrooms nationwide.
